Not all that long ago, Sami herself may not have imagined that October would be anything extraordinary.
And yet—it was.
In October 2022, Sami’s world shifted forever.
Into her arms came her baby girl, Alianah.
With her larger-than-life personality, Alianah turned everything Sami thought she knew upside down.
The very first time Sami looked into those deep brown eyes gazing back at her, she could hardly believe it was real.
This beautiful, incredible little being was here—and she had created her.
Sami remembers being so overwhelmed with love that she felt it glowing from the inside out.
In that moment, she knew without a doubt:
Alianah wouldn’t just be the love of her life.
She would be her saviour. Her bright place. Her reason.
Alianah’s first name was chosen for its beauty—
for that heart-pounding moment when everything clicked into place.
Meaning noble and gracious, Sami knew she was bestowing on her daughter the strength of a name that would carry her through life.
Her middle name, Touke, honours her paternal great-grandmother.
A woman who stood as the leader of her family and a pillar of generational culture.
And while her names were chosen with such care,
Alianah herself had other plans.
Her cheeky personality has earned her a whole collection of nicknames—
Coco, the little coconut island girl;
Lali, from her grandmother;
and of course, Lianah—
a shortened version she gifted herself.
Sami jokes that Alianah will answer to almost anything—
from Peach, to Cocopop, to Squish.
According to her mum, Alianah has the BIGGEST personality—
bigger than anyone ever imagined could fit into such a small person.
She is fierce.
Hilarious.
Caring. Loving. Stubborn. Cheeky. Wild. And smart.
In short… she is everything.
If there’s music on, you can guarantee she’ll be right in the middle of it—
the sassiest little groover with her trademark bum shake.
She adores a good wrestling tickle session, delights in showering her loved ones with kisses,
and lights up whenever someone whispers the magic word ice-cream in her ear.
And behind all that sass and sparkle is a curious, clever soul who loves to learn—
and who has a special place in her heart for animals.
To put it simply:
Alianah keeps her family on their toes,
fills every day with laughter,
and proves again and again that she is one very extraordinary little girl.
To her mum, Alianah is everything and more, exactly as she is.
